One of the significant advantages of metal prints is their resistance to fading. Thanks to the dye-sublimation process, the image is infused into the metal, offering protection against UV rays and environmental elements. When displayed properly, metal prints can retain their brilliance for decades.
Cleaning a metal print is simple. Use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe away any dust or fingerprints. For more persistent spots or streaks, dampen the cloth with water or a mix of water and mild detergent and gently wipe the surface.
The process involves printing the image onto a transfer paper using dye-sublimation inks. This paper is then placed against a specially coated aluminum sheet. When subjected to heat and pressure, the inks transform from solid to gas and infuse directly into the coating of the metal sheet, creating a permanent bond.
Most metal prints come with a wood float mount equipped with standard hanging picture frame wire. Larger sizes come with special hanging hardware that make them easy to install. For sizes over 48" we recommend choosing our metal back frame.

We offer metal prints come in a range of finishes including glossy, matte, and satin. The choice of finish can influence the appearance of the print, with glossy giving more contrast and colour saturation but also being more reflective and matte offering a more subdued look. Satin finish is in between Gloss and Matte and is a great choice for portraiture. Glossy is the most popular finish and the high contrast and intensity of colour are what most people expect when ordering metal prints.
